21 Nov STANDARDS REQUIRED IN MACHINE SECURITY FENCE
2006/42 / EC Machinery Safety Regulation: It has been prepared and implemented by the Ministry of Industry and Trade in parallel with the Directive 2006/42 / EC of the European Union.
Machine security fences are described as “Case Cover” in the regulation. Necessary conditions are described in two titles as general and special rules. Special rules for case covers are as follows:
1.4.2.1 Fixed Case Covers:
- Fixed case covers should only be installed with systems that can be opened or removed with tools.
- Their fastening systems must remain attached when case covers and guards are removed.
- Wherever possible, case covers should not remain in place without their attachments.
It is seen that many products on the market do not meet special conditions.
- EN ISO 14120 Safety of machinery – Guards – General requirements for the design and construction of fixed and movable guards
This Standard set general requirements for the design, construction and selection of protections provided to protect people from mechanical hazards. Necessary tests are specified within the standard. These tests:
Pendulum Test: It is done by releasing a specified weight from a certain height and hitting the machine protection fence. The resulting value shows the strength of the machine protection panel in joules.
Bullet Test: It is made by beating the object close to the cylindrical structure, the geometries of which are specified in the standard, on a section of the fence. No breaks are foreseen.
- EN ISO 12100: 2010 Safety of machinery – General principles for design – Risk assessment and risk reduction
This standard includes basic terminology, principles and methods that ensure safety in the design of machines.
Before buying, certainly questioning the appropriateness of machine protection fence to the standards and regulations. Roldory machine protection panels offer you all the necessary conditions.
